Lepopäivä / Pillow talk

Rest is a revolution!

In a world compressed into endless to-do lists, constant urgency and the fear of standing still, rest has become a strangely radical act. Pillow Talk invites audiences to pause for a moment and engage in an activity that has reached the status of a taboo: doing absolutely nothing. At the centre of the work is a bed appearing in the midst of the world's busy intersections, a temporary island of softness. Throughout the day, the bed becomes a stage for ordinary acts of rest: conversations drift in and out, books are read, films are watched, games are played and meals are shared. You can participate by taking a seat in the armchair, give yourself an unhurried pause and watch the world rush around you.Can stillness become an act of resistance in a culture organized around efficiency and performance?
Just for a moment, join a whimsical cult devoted to slowing down.
